Instructor and Assistant Instructor Training

Instructors: Work with us at RHKYC

The RHKYC Sail Training Program are always looking for more qualified instructors to join our team!

If you are a:
-Dinghy Instructor
-Keelboat Instructor
-Powerboat Instructor
From any recognized national governing body (RYA, YNZ, HKSF etc...), we have teaching opportunities for you!

Our centre has a very supportive teaching environment with mentoring for beginner instructors and advanced courses for experienced ones. We offer a competitive salary for part-time and full time roles.

Assistant Instructor Training at RHKYC

Ever thought about becoming an Sailing Instructor? Our Assistant Instructor program is the first step on the pathway towards Dinghy Instructor qualification!
The 2-day course will cover the basics of in-boat teaching, group management, safety and Sailing Centre operating procedures. Assistant instructors who complete the course and one-day assessment will have the opportunity to work alongside fully qualified instructors and continue working towards their Dinghy Instructor qualification with the RYA or HKSF or any other internationally recognized certificate.
The course is open to sailors aged 14 years and older with an HKSF Level 3 certificate or equivalent experience. If you are interested in becoming an AI, please fill in this form and we will notify your when our next set of courses are running:
