Marine

The Marine section of the RHKYC is responsible for the provision and management of the support facilities for all of our water-based activities, be it yacht racing, rowing, dinghy sailing or cruising. As such, the marine section lies at the very heart of the Club's activities.

Employing 33 full-time staff, Marine operates a total of 35 support boats ranging from RIBs and sampans to work boats and committee boats.

Marine also looks after a total of 350 moorings split between Kellett Island, Shelter Cove, Shelter Cove Marina, Aberdeen, Middle Island and Jade Bay.

In addition to our moorings, our facilities include hardstanding for over 160 Class boats split between our Kellett Island, Middle Island and Shelter Cove bases. Each hardstand facility is equipped with a crane for launch and recovery as well as pontoons for temporary berthing and access.

As well as providing support for the racing run by the RHKYC, Marine also arranges marine logistics for other Clubs and outside organisations.
