Centre Manager

The successful applicant will manage the teaching of sailing to novice members, including the RYA Power boat classes, and supervise the marine activities at the Middle Island Clubhouse.  He/she will also be responsible for the running and developing the Adult and Youth Dinghy Sail Training Programmes.

We look for someone with:

  • HKSF Instructor or Senior Instructor qualification
  • HK Marine Dept Pleasure Vessel Level 2 Certificate
  • Sound experience in instructing adults and youths in various types of dinghies, including high performance dinghies
  • Excellent instructing, interpersonal, team and leadership skills
  • Good management skill and with knowledge in the marine activities
  • Good command of written and spoken English is required while Chinese would be an advantage
  • Candidates with strong teaching or sports management backgrounds will also be considered

Coxswain

Responsibilities:

  • Operating Club’s sampans
  • Cleaning and maintenance of boats
  • Providing support to sailing activities
  • Requirements:

2 years relevant experience preferred.
  • With Pleasure Vessel Operator Grade 2 Certificate
  • Preferably with a valid VHF License

Assistant Manager – Technical

Job Duties:

  • Assist Facilities and Technical Manager in overseeing the operation of Technical Department
  • Maintain facilities and equipment by conducting routine inspections and determining appropriate rectification measures
  • Assist in planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Assist in preparation of tender and monitor the progress of projects with outside contractors
  • Coach team by providing supervision, on job training and career development
Requirements:

  • Holder of Higher Diploma or above in Engineering, Facility Management or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality or property facility management, ideally with 2 years in a similar capacity
  • A holder of Registered Electrical Worker License Grade B is preferred
  • Well organized and good problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of written and spoken of English and Chinese
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD
