Adult Introduction Course

RHKYC  will be offering a Dragon Boat Introduction course for new paddlers to learn the fundamental skills required to become a dragon boat paddler with Royal X team.

Every new joiner with no dragon boat experience  MUST ATTEND  the introduction course prior to joining the development program. As well, new paddlers with limited dragon boat paddling experience (such as one year paddling only) are also encouraged and most welcome to join the course. 

Content:
The course will be run in four sessions and will cover many aspects of paddling such as stroke technique, safety, team dynamics, seat roles, capsize drills, race starts and race pieces, calling the boat, and much more.

Dates, Time and Location:
Wednesday 21 and 28 January at Kellett Island at 0600 to 0730hrs and
Saturday 24 and 31 January at Middle Island at 1200 to 1330hrs
