Adult Introduction Course

RHKYC will be offering a Dragon Boat Introduction course for new paddlers in January and February 2024 to learn the fundamental skills required to become a dragon boat paddler with  Royal X . 

Every new joiner with no dragon boat experience  MUST ATTEND  the six-week introduction course prior to joining the development program. As well, new paddlers with limited dragon boat paddling experience (such as one year paddling only) are also encouraged and most welcome to join the course. 

The course will be run over six consecutive weekends and will cover many aspects of paddling such as stroke technique, safety, team dynamics, seat roles, capsize drills, race starts and race pieces, calling the boat, and much more.
