Using sailing to nurture and develop underprivileged Hong Kong Children
Sail To Change is a community outreach programme founded in 2019 by RHKYC members. The goal of the programme is to use sailing as a platform for character building and personal development for the underprivileged youths in Hong Kong to better prepare them for future life while learning how to treat our ocean with more care.

A bespoke Sail Training programme is designed to teach them the sport and club mentors will provide guidance and opportunities for them to get involved in wider sailing and racing activities.

Ultimately, the aim is to develop lifelong soft skills and combined with sailing skills and deep understanding in sustainability it will create positive impact in the lives of the underprivileged youths. Respect for nature, confidence in their skills and knowledge in the marine industry can better equipped them in the future.
