Dog Friendly Areas

Kellett Island

We have a dog friendly space on the eastern side of the Starter's Box which is available at all times.  Please click here to view a video to see how to get there.
Otherwise, dogs are allowed at the lower Bistro Terrace every day up to 1100hrs.
For the Bye Law relating to dogs at Kellett Island (and also for Middle Island and Shelter Cove) please see below.

Bye Law 4.15 Pets
a. No pets are permitted on the Club’s Kellett Island premises except for:
(i) legitimate access to boats;
(ii) pets at the Bistro lower terrace up to 1100hrs or at such time as determined by the General Committee from time to time (pets may not be allowed on any Club furniture nor may they feed or drink from any Club utensils or crockery);
(iii) pets at the designated area between the starters box and the waterside area accessed only through the boatyard; and
(iv) a “seeing – eye dog” in the company of a person with restricted sight.
b. The pet must be under the control of the owner and be kept on a lead at all times. Pets may not be left tethered away from the owner.
c. The pet’s owner is responsible for any damage caused by their pet(s) and must clean up any mess made by their pet(s).

Middle Island

Bye Law 16.6 Pets
Members are permitted to bring their pets to the Island under the following conditions:
a. The pet must be under the control of the owner and be kept on a lead at all times. Pets may not be left tethered away from the owner.
b. Pets are not permitted inside the Clubhouse or within the restricted area at the Clubhouse level, lawn area and function rooms.
c. Pets may not be allowed on any Club furniture nor may they feed or drink from any Club utensils or crockery.
d. The pet’s owner is responsible for cleaning up any mess made by their pet(s).
e. Non-Members are not permitted to bring pets at weekends and public holidays.

Shelter Cove

Bye Law 17.3 Pets
Members are permitted to bring their pets to the Club under the following conditions:
a. The pet must be under the control of the owner and be kept on a lead at all times. Pets may not be left tethered away from the owner.
b. Pets are not permitted in the Clubhouse but are permitted on the terraces and hard standing areas.
c. The pet’s owner is responsible for cleaning up any mess made by their pet(s).
d. Pets may not be allowed on any Club furniture nor may they feed or drink from any Club utensils or crockery.
