Any keelboat with an RHKATI rating or an HKPN handicap can enter. The unique feature is that everybody on board an individual boat must be of the same nationality - born, passport, language fluency. Are you up for this chance to claim the waters of HK for your country?
This race is arguably one of the Club’s most fun event, just dress in anything you like and compete for the best dressed crew award.
There is NO restriction on the number of boats that can enter for a country - so if for example there are 15 boats representing Hong Kong, the more the better.

The Club Race Officer seminar held in October focused on how to be a Race Officer for the regular RHKYC class racing run throughout the year in the Harbour and out of Middle Island and Shelter Cove. This was a useful refresher for anyone who hasn't been a RO recently and also of interest to anyone wanting to step up to being a Club RO.
The Results Officer seminar also ran through the tasks to be done by Results Officers for class racing. This is a good introduction to race management and is useful for all new volunteers wanting to help run class racing at RHKYC.

The candidates who pass both Part A and Part B of the PVOC2 Examination may apply for a certificate at MD. MD will continue to accept PVOC2 examination applications until 31 March 2023. Between 13 March and 31 March 2023, candidates who wish to sit for PVOC2 examinations may enroll at either MD or PEAK Examination Centre. The Marine Sub Committee would like to remind members with hard standing spaces, moorings and marina berths of the following Bye-law which covers all boats on the clubs facilities.
19.14
a. Members owning Vessels occupying a mooring or marina berth are required to make use of their Vessels by leaving the mooring regularly. The definition of ‘regularly’ shall be set by the General Committee.
b. If the Marine Office believes a Vessel has not been used as required, the Member will be contacted and asked to provide an explanation for the lack of use to the Marine Sub-Committee.
c. If a Vessel has not been regularly used, and unless dispensation is granted by the Marine Sub-Committee, an additional fee will be levied. The level of this additional fee will be determined from time to time by the General Committee.
The General Committee has determined that the definition of Regularly, in 19.14 a above, is six times in a six month period.
The General Committee has set the addition fee in 19.14 c above as an additional 50% of the mooring fee until such time as the boat is used on a regular basis.
Thank you
The Marine Sub Committee
