I am obviously male, 38yo, started sailing in Cadets then 420s with the RYA youth programme. Moved to Keel boats initial one designs at my yacht club on the Isle of Wight, then moved in to larger keel boat racing after moving to the Bahamas which was mainly round the cans racing. I skipper my own 30 ft boat, but love the endurance racing. I raced Caribbean 600 and Fastnet last year on a Swan 51. I am a member of RORC, and am looking to increase offshore racing experience. Sail regularly in the Bahamas, prefer long passage sails to quick day trips.

Skills:- Navigation and Tactics, trimming, proficient with Nobeltec, Raytech and MaxSEA. Degree in Naval Architecture specializing in Yacht Design. Strong troubleshooting skills with onboard system, especially on Seatalk networks, and 12 volt circuits.

Looking for a ride for the Rolex China Sea Race this year. I would like to do this race, preferably as a navigator. I have sailed extensively all my life and took the American "Safety At Sea" seminar in Feb of 2006; this is required for the Newport-Bermuda Race.

I am an ISAF group 3 sailor with about 120,000 miles offshore experience. I know how to operate all of the tactical and navigational sailing programs, including Expedition, Deckman, MaxSea, Nobeltec, etc. and have sailed in the Far East before and completed the 2008 Rolex China Sea Race on board 'Larabella'.

I am a retired lawyer in my sixties but fit and active and in addition to actively racing, regularly deliver racing boats from the US northeast to the eastern Caribbean (1500-1600 miles) and back in April and November, when the weather can be and usually is nasty.

Available for both the Race and the return delivery to Hong Kong. If you are interested, let me know at jharvey@nycap.rr.com
