For the month of
April, menu will be served with wine from
Domaine Guy Amiot et Fils, a renowned family estate rooted in the Chassagne-Montrachet terroir of Burgundy for generations since 1920.
Chassagne-Montrachet, also called "Le Montrachet", is known for its reputation of producing “the greatest white wine in the world”. Montrachet is classified as a “Grand Cru” of less than 8 hectares shared between only 17 producers, including the Amiot family.
The Amiot family, now runs by the fourth and the fifth generations, produces a grand cru and 8 premier crus in white as well as 2 premier crus in red from the Chassagne-Montrachet vines.
At this wine table, wine of the vintages 2020 and 2021 will be tasted. 2020 was considered a successful vintage for both white and red thanks to sunshine and an earlier date of harvest by the winemaker to ensure decent levels of acidity. Whereas in 2021, yields were naturally low, in favour of fruit flavours concentration producing flavour-enhanced wines.
