HONG KONG TO VIETNAM RACE 2013 - BOAT INFORMATION

Ker 40, Signal 8, could be the boat to watch for an overall win at the Audi Hong Kong to Vietnam Race.  Her portfolio is nothing short of impressive - 1st in division for the 2013 RHKYC Closing Regatta, the 2013 HHYC Typhoon Series and the 2013 ABC Regatta, 1st in division and 3rd IRC Overall in the 2013 San Fernando Race and 2nd in division in the 2012 China Coast Regatta.

Owned by the merry band that is Matthew Hanning, Keith Jacobs, Richard Kendall, Jamie McWilliam and Patrick Pender, the boat will welcome another five sailors to complete the crew.

Signal 8’s Patrick Pender says of the competition “there are a lot of good competitors and it will depend on the conditions, whether it’s a small boat race or a big boat race” and he’s looking forward to “a great race, good competition and sailing downwind.”
