Wilson Cup - Peter Lam San Tung

For his performance over the last season, the ‘Wilson Cup’ was awarded to Peter Lam. The achievement of Peter was indeed outstanding, with his most notable performance being in the Men’s Pair winning a gold medal whilst representing Hong Kong in the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games in September. The medal was not only the city’s first gold in the Games, but also the first gold to be won by the Hong Kong rowing team in nearly a decade, since the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. In addition, it was the first gold medal in Hong Kong rowing history to be won in the open class of the Asian Games. The Wilson Cup award was presented to Peter Lam.

Wilson Bowl - Stephanie Capol and Liam Fung

For their commitment to Club rowing and their development over the last season, the ‘Wilson Bowl’ was jointly awarded to Stephanie Capol and Liam Fung. Both Stephanie and Liam have several years with the youth rowing programme and show great attitude towards the team and the sport. They attended training regularly at Middle Island and have developed great skills which allowed them to participate in different rowing competitions throughout the year, from indoor rowing challenges to river and coastal regattas. In addition to regular training, they often ask for extra training advice that they can do outside of team training in their spare time. Their sportsmanship has been exemplary. With no doubt, they are role models for the rest of team. The Wilson Bowl award was then presented to Stephanie Capol and Liam Fung.
