2024 Sam Kelly Memorial Award

Celia Chan

The General Committee agreed that the award should go to Celia Chan for her commitment to the Club.

Celia loves the passion and team spirit found in the sport of rowing. When she left the university team and the athlete identity behind after graduation, she continued to embrace rowing as a lifelong sport by joining clubs at the Hong Kong China Rowing Association and the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. She also enjoys sharing the joy of rowing and promoting her favorite sport to the public, her work colleagues, and new rowers. She has gained many positive experiences from the sport of rowing, and wishes to lend a helping hand, with her heart, to contribute to the development of the sport.

She is involved in committee and volunteering work in the Hong Kong China Rowing Association and as well in the Club, and actively participates in the rowing events and races and consistently achieved podium finishes in the past two years.
