The Commodore advised that the General Committee had unanimously agreed that the award should go to Winky Hui for her commitment to the Club. Winky had participated in many local and international competitions and had proved that it was not necessarily contradictory to have fun and be competitive simultaneously. She had positively influenced her crew’s performance through her experience gained from being a mainstay on the Hong Kong Rowing Team for 10 years. She had also promoted the club and the sport of rowing whenever the opportunity had arisen. The Samantha Kelly Memorial Award was then presented to Winky Hui.
