The ever-popular summer Sunset Series is held over 11 Fridays throughout the summer months. The series is open to all and is a good excuse to start the weekend early - fun, relaxed sailing with friends. The race track is in front of the Club which makes it a great event for spectators if you don’t wish to sail.
The Hong Kong to Hainan Race 2026 will start on 29 October! This biennial Offshore Category 1 race is a classic 390nm downwind passage to Sanya, on the island of Hainan in southern China.
The 2028 edition of the Rolex China Sea Race is scheduled to start on 8 March 2028. This iconic 565‑nm Category 1 offshore race, run under the auspices of the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC), will once again challenge competitors on the demanding passage from Hong Kong, China, to Subic Bay in the Philippines, cementing its reputation as one of Asia’s premier blue‑water races.

Join us for an insightful session, “Preparing for the Dragon, Etchells and Fifteen Worlds: Lessons from the Recent Etchells Worlds in San Diego,” featuring renowned sailor Jamie McWilliam. Taking place on 10 June at 1830hrs on the Main Lawn, this seminar will offer firsthand perspectives from one of the most competitive fleets on the international circuit. Drawing on recent experiences in San Diego, Jamie will provide essential guidance for teams preparing for upcoming World Championships.
The Yacht Racing Sub-Committee presents an inspiring evening: Circumnavigating – A World Journey in a Moving Home. Hear firsthand from a sailing couple Sam and Henrik as they share their experiences after 18 months of full-time cruising around the world—offering a unique perspective on life, challenges, and adventure at sea.
Join us in person on the Main Lawn or attend via Zoom.
We will be running our 5-day training courses over several weeks during the Summer Holidays to align with the major school breaks.

Mechanical failure is the main cause of rescue call-outs to pleasure vessels. Most engine problems can be avoided by taking simple precautions and you don t need detailed mechanical knowledge to make repairs. This course is designed to teach vessel owners and users (both power and sail) the basics of how to maintain and repair their engine.
