The ever-popular summer Sunset Series is held over 11 Fridays throughout the summer months. The series is open to all and is a good excuse to start the weekend early - fun, relaxed sailing with friends. The race track is in front of the Club which makes it a great event for spectators if you don’t wish to sail.

Please note that due to limited locker availability on major race days, lockers and towels are reserved for members and registered overseas visitors only. Members and registered overseas visitors must present their membership or registration card to staff to gain access. All other guests should bring their own towel, and advised that they will not have access to lockers on these days. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club has entered a team in the upcoming New York Yacht Club International Women's Championship, being run from Rhode Island in the United States from 12th to 19th September 2026. This brings together some of the world's top female sailors to compete at the highest level. Racing is being held in the IC37, a one-design keelboat where the Club’s crew is made up of sailors from around the world—including the UK, Hong Kong, and China – with the boat being skippered by Olympic Sailing Gold Medallist and Honorary Club Member, Lily Xu.
19 to 20 September
A two-day regatta run from Kellett Island marks the opening of the racing season. With approximately 90 class boats and big boats taking to the water, Victoria Harbour will become a kaleidoscope of colourful spinnakers and yachts.

17 to 19 October
The 34th edition of the China Coast Regatta will be run from Middle Island from 17 to 19 October. Competing yachts can expect the best of Hong Kong’s sailing conditions.

The Coastal Race Series 2026 - 2027 is a mixed Category 1 and Category 3 offshore race series held in Hong Kong and its adjacent waters. Race 1 will take place on Saturday 26 September
starting at 1100hrs.This series provides an excellent opportunity for crews preparing to compete in the Hong Kong to Hainan Race 2026 or the Eastern Asia Offshore Race 2027. You can log this race experience as part of declaring your crew suitability for participation in offshore races.
