Signal 3

Whilst Club facilities operate as usual (including the Pool*), the sampan service to/from the Noon Day Gun will suspend service.  The sampan may only transport Club staff and members to and from moored boats to assist with typhoon preparations. 

Members should return their yachts back to their regular mooring.

No boat should stay alongside the Club pontoons when the T3 or above is hoisted.

Club facilities operate as usual.  Whilst the sampan will operate in a T3, it will stop one hour before a T8 is raised.

Sailing, Rowing and Paddle Sports courses suspended.

Signal 8 

Pool closed.  Ferry service must stop no later than one hour before the hoisting of a No. 8 signal.

F&B service (except Main Bar) will stop no later than two hours prior to No. 8 signal being hoisted.    If, within normal operating hours, the signal goes to 9 or 10, the Main Bar remains open.

F&B will resume two hours after the signal is lowered providing the signal is lowered before 1900hrs, if signal is lowered after 1900hrs, F&B service will remain closed.

Sampan will stop service one hour before no. 8  to be hoisted. Middle Island to evacuate no later than one hour before No. 8 signal hoisted.

In the event that the signal is lowered to a T3 prior to 1100hrs, F&B service will resume two hours after the signal is lowered.

F&B service will resume two hours after the signal is lowered to a T3 providing the signal is lowered before 1800hrs.


Signal 9 and 10 

All clubhouses and services are closed
(including Main Bar but only if the signals are hoisted out of hours).

* Pool during thunderstorms: generally the pool will remain open when a thunderstorm signal is raised HOWEVER if the thunderstorm or lightning is in the vicinity of the Club, members must leave the pool when directed by lifeguards.

Black Rainstorm Warning- service might be affected if staff impeded from getting to work.           Sail Training, Rowing and Paddle Sports courses suspended.


Red or Amber Rainstorm Warnings- no effect on Club operations. Sail Training, Rowing and Paddle Sports courses suspended for Red Rainstorm Warning.
