11 Feb Update on Precautionary Measures for Coronavirus

Dear Members,
We would like to take this opportunity to update you as to the measures the Club is taking with regards to playing our part in  meeting the Government’s advice and protecting the health of members, staff and guests. 
Since our last message to you on 23 January in which we listed some specific precautions being taken, we have further strengthened our hygiene arrangements across the three Clubhouses including requiring all staff to complete a health declaration, changing buffet utensils regularly and offering disposable gloves for members if they wish to use them.  Everyone entering the Club must now have their temperature taken.  We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in all areas, and in particular for door knobs and handles, lift buttons, handrails etc.  Disinfectant hand gel is available in public areas for members’ use. 
Any member of staff returning from Mainland China must undergo 14 days of self-quarantine before being allowed to return to duty. 

All of our staff have undergone two training sessions and are reminded on a daily basis of the precautions they must take whenever on duty. 

Through these the Club has been able to continue to operate all our own sports training and races, together with all clubhouse facilities. 

We would like to take this opportunity to remind members to visit a doctor if they have a fever or flu symptoms and to self-quarantine.  Please can members and guests bring their own face masks when coming to the Club due to market shortage.
Please also note that we are continuing to monitor Government’s press conferences and press releases on a daily basis to keep up to date with the current situation and Government advice. The Centre for Health Protection’s website is a good centralised resource that members may like to refer to. 

We would like to thank all members for their understanding and ongoing support of the measures the Club are implementing which ensure that we maintain a safe environment for members, staff and guests alike at this difficult time.
