Thursday, 15 November (1900hrs - 2000hrs) Ward Room

Murray MacDonald, the founder of Autism on the Water, is making a return to the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club on 15 November. Coming all the way from Scotland, Murray last spoke at the Club back in January about his organisation which is designed to raise awareness of autism through sailing and encourage those on the spectrum to access sailing. Murray is autistic himself and sailing has personally for him, helped him with confidence, social skills and problem solving skills, three skills that autistic people struggle with everyday.

Since he was last in Hong Kong, Murray's campaign has grown significantly which has seen him and his team take on the Hunter 707 One Design Class on AOTW's own boat.  The Hunter 707 is one of the biggest one design classes in Scotland and Murray has been spreading the autism word all across the country which is "embracing the difference as we sail".

This talk is free of charge to members and their guests.  As seating is limited, please register by clicking the 'Book Now' link at the top of this page to avoid disappointment.
