Saturday, 7 September (1530hrs - 1800hrs) Tomes Room

Plastic Free Seas, the Hong Kong based environmental charity, are coming to Kellett Island to give an interactive talk for children between the ages of 8-12 years.

The talk will focus on the sources of pollution, how plastics get into the ocean, the effects on marine life, as well as how they enter into our food chain, putting our own health at risk. Ways to help reduce the pollution are presented and discussed in a highly interactive and engaging manner, challenging the audience to take responsibility for themselves and the environment.  On the same afternoon, we have the Autumn Regatta and a charity sailing event, for which the Club is looking for children to volunteer to help get donations.

So please save the date and come along and join us for an informative and fun-filled afternoon!

It's free of charge.  For reservations, please click the 'Book Now' link at the top of this page.
