The RHKYC Sustainability Working Group is pleased to present a special screening of Chasing Coral, the first of a series of events that aim to address sustainability issues and increase awareness of our collective impact on the planet.

This powerful documentary follows a team of divers, photographers and scientists as they set out to document the disappearance of the world’s coral reefs.

Coral reefs around the world are vanishing at an unprecedented rate. Chasing Coral follows a team of divers, photographers and scientists, as they attempt to discover why.  Using specialized time-lapse cameras, the team captures the elusive process of coral bleaching and the impacts of climate change on these valuable ecosystems.

The film, which has won numerous awards, uses more than 500 hours of underwater footage filmed over three years and submissions from volunteers in over 30 countries to document the catastrophe silently raging under our oceans.
