Registration Form

The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club cordially invites entries to the forth China Sea 200 Dash, a Category 3 offshore race with liferafts using virtual marks to create a course which starts and finishes in Hong Kong waters. The intent is to help boats get tuned-up and their crews ready for night sailing before the start of the Hong Kong to Puerto Galera Race 2019. Boats not entering the Hong Kong to Puerto Galera Race are also welcome to enter, subject to meeting the requirements outlined in this Notice of Race (NoR). It is the intent of the race committee that course lengths will differ between divisions to enable the majority of boats to finish around the same time on Sunday afternoon.

The entry fee will be HK$550 per boat. For cancellations notified on or before Monday 15 March 2019, the entry fee will be refunded in whole. For cancellations after this date, no refund will be made.

Late entries may be accepted until 1800hrs on Wednesday 20 March 2019 upon application to the race committee and only upon payment of an additional fee of 50% of the entry fee and satisfactory completion of all immigration requirements.

I have read, and understood, the Notice of Race and the waivers therein. I agree to be bound by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (IRPCAS), the Racing Rules of Sailing 2017-2020 (RRS), Prescriptions of the Hong Kong Sailing Federation (HKSF), the IRC Rules Parts A, B and C, the HKPN Performance Increase Penalty Scheme (PIPS) if applicable, the World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations and the China Sea 200 Dash Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions.

I understand that yacht racing can be dangerous and that neither the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, the Sponsor(s) or co-organisers and persons working for or on behalf of the above accept any responsibility for any loss of life or injury to members of my crew or other parties, or for the loss of, or damage to my vessel.  I have read and understand RRS Fundamental Rule 4 – Decision to Race.

The yacht will be available for inspection by the Race Committee at any time. I shall notify the Race Committee immediately if any alteration likely to affect the rating (such as to sail plan, mast, ballast, trim, engine, propeller or hull measurement) is made. I will ensure that no crewmember races on my yacht contrary to the terms of any ban imposed by any National Authority.

I understand and agree that the information I give to the race organisers will be maintained as computer records for the purposes of race administration. Before the start of the race, I will ensure that all crewmembers are aware of all undertakings included in this Declaration and of the importance of effecting appropriate personal insurance.
