Kamoshibito Kuheiji 釀人九平次 and Tenryo 天領 Sake Dinner

17 Aug 2022
F&B / EVENTS

Kamoshibito Kuheiji」Seeking a nostalgic, refined, mature fruit flavor.

In Aichi Prefecture in Japan, Banjo Sake Brewery is a well-known and historical brewery established in 1647. The brand of Kamoshibito Kuheijistarted in 1997. The brewery believes “Everything starts with rice”. No matter how high the brewing skill is, the variety of raw materials and vintage characteristics cannot be changed. The brewery has decided to build a new brewery in the “Kurodasho”. Connecting the rice fields and the brewery in one place.

Kamoshibito Kuheiji strives for a balance of bitter, tart, and acidic. Instead of relying on special techniques, they make use of each sake's myriad scents to harmonize with the five tastes and bring out the natural shape and fullness of the products. By limiting the human technical influence, they can pay homage to the raw materials’ excellence. There is something elegant about the natural form.

Tenryouis No. 1 at Gifu prefecture which uses the highest quality sake rice and polishes all sake rice at their own brewery. The brewery appointed their contracted farmers to cultivate high-quality sake rice. It mainly uses “Hida Homare” sake rice, whereas for some sake it uses “Yamada Nishiki”.

Tenryou has won numerous awards over the years, including 10 consecutive gold awards from the Annual Japan Sake Award and 11 consecutive gold awards from Tokai Sake Awards. Tenryou's Sake has been selected as the first-class service sake for JAL domestic flights in Japan since 2011.
