BART'S BASH 2018 - 15 September Due to the postponement of Autumn Regatta, we will not be able to participate Bart's Bash this year. However you may stil wish to support the foundation. Bart’s Bash the ‘Largest Sailing Event in the World’ The aim of Bart’s Bash is to remember Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson and to inspire a new generation of sailors. This year the first race of the Autumn Regatta will be designated as the RHKYC Bart’s Bash. Money raised from sailors’ charity contributions will go to the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation (ASSF) which will support disabled sailing and disadvantaged young sailors. The RHKYC participated in the inaugural event back in September 2014, and it was the Etchells ‘Dream On’, helmed by Greg Farrell, who was first over the line in a fierce contest with Ruffian Scallywag, helmed by Oliver Cully. After correction with RHKATI handicaps, Scallywag was declared the winner of the first RHKYC Bart’s Bash, with Ruffian Hombre in second and Hong Kong Ffooey in third. Don't forget that you can also support the RHKYC Charity Foundation anytime! SOCIAL MEDIA - #sailonbart #bartsbash Twitter - Facebook - Instagram - Youtube |
