The Rowing Section is delighted to offer an afternoon introductory session to all keen RHKYC sailors.
The session will cover the basics of the rowing stroke during an on land session with the dreaded 'ergo machine', followed by an introduction to the boat and other equipment that you will be using. Once the basics are covered, groups of four will head out on to the water with an experienced rower in the boat to act as coxswain and coach. By the time the 3 hour session is over we will have you all well on your way to the Olympics!
You don't need to be fantastically fit, nor do you need to have any prior knowledge of rowing. Only a sense of fun and some simple sports training clothing is required. Suitable bouyancy aids are available if you are not a confident swimmer.
