The Hong Kong Government Flying Service would like to conduct a variety of winching training with different types of vessels. Winching off yachts is always considered to be very challenging and of high training value to GFS helicopter crew. Similarly, the crew of the vessel will also benefit from such an experience, which they would normally encounter only in the case of a real emergency.
GFS has therefore asked Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club to act as a coordinator and assist in disseminating their training request to members.
The training forms for the coming few weekends can be downloaded below. If the training is disturbed by an emergency callout or adverse weather conditions, GFS will do its best to reschedule that training session with the same yacht.
