Recognised as one of New Zealand's leading, multi award winning wineries, Sacred Hill focuses on the production of premium 'handcrafted' varietal wines at the company's estate vineyards in New Zealand's leading grape growing regions of Marlborough, Hawke's Bay and Central Otago.
In 1986, brothers David and Mark Mason established Sacred Hill. The name is derived from Puketapu – which means “sacred hill’ in Maori – a small village close to the estate vineyards.
Sacred Hill’s winemaking team expertly employs a combination of old world and new world practices. Under the watchful eye of Tony Bish, Head Winemaker, the magical process that turns grape juice into fine wine is carefully orchestrated to produce the best possible end results. At Sacred Hill, quality is never sacrificed to achieve growth in volume – a philosophy that has done much to build and maintain their reputation as a producer of premium New Zealand wines.
