Class Race Management Seminar - 26 April 2017

This seminar will cover how to plan and manage class racing in the Harbour and out of Middle Island and Shelter Cove. The seminar is open to all class sailors who are rostered for race management duties (RO / ARO / Results Officer), and will also be of interest to those sailors who would like to get more involved in race management but who want more details/experience before volunteering. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout.

Class Protest Committee Seminar - 20 April 2017

This seminar will cover the process to be followed to run a successful protest hearing to deal with protests which may arise during class racing. After covering the theory, participants will then take part in practical exercises designed to simulate the various actions needed during a hearing from the perspective of the protest committee, protestor and protestee.

Hong Kong Sports Institute Update - 29 March 2017

Spinnaker Trim Seminar - 15 March

Highly respected dinghy and keelboat sailors, Dominic Law and Isamu Sakai will go through everything a spinnaker trimmer needs to know to make a keelboat go fast downwind. Symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnakers will be covered.

Racing Rules of Sailing 2017 - 2020 Seminar

The new Racing Rules of Sailing 2017 - 2020 go into effect on January 1st, 2017. RHKYC members are invited to join International Judge Tom Sheppard on Saturday 3 December 2016 as he covers the changes included in the new RRS and how they will affect your racing. The seminar will run from 0930 - 1200hrs in the Chart Room, RHKYC Kellett Island, enabling participants time to prepare for the Lipton Trophy that afternoon. This seminar is now FULL.

Class Race Management Seminars -13 October 2016

These informal seminars are open to all class sailors who are rostered for race management duties (RO / ARO / Results Officer), and also to any Club sailor who would like to get more involved in race management but who would like more insights/experience before volunteering.
