As the RHKYC season comes to an end in May, some of the Dragons will participate in the Hebe Haven Summer Saturday Series.
There will be a number of Dragons available to borrow for that series as some owners have brought their second Dragon back from Europe (and will be selling their other Dragon) and other will not sail this summer. Owners are wiling to lend their boats to experience sailors for free, assuming any damage will be taken care of by the borrower.
This would be a great opportunity to discover this wonderful 3-man-boat which has been an Olympic class until 1972 and has continued to be a very dynamic class around the world thanks to its unique classic style and highly competitive classes. Thanks to very strict class rules, old dragons are as competitive as brand new ones on the water.
In Hong Kong , the class is very dynamic. There are about 20 boats registered and more are coming! 3 or 4 boats will be for sale in the coming months in the range of HK$80,000 - HK$150,000.
