In answer to the requirement for boat crew employed by a member to have access to toilet and shower facilities at Kellett Island, we have recently modified the old laundry room located on the 2nd floor of the administration building to accommodate this function. This facility will be open to registered crew in addition to Yacht Club staff. Currently this facility will be limited to male only usage, due to constraints of the available space.
An electronic key card will be used to control access to the shower and toilet facilities, thus ensuring that adequate security is maintained. This facility will be available from 1st January 2008, and if you wish your crew to be able to make use of this, please complete and return the Boat Crew Registration Form' and return it to the Marine Office on/or before 7th December 2007. With this electronic key card, your crew will be able to enter the 2/F Administration Building at Kellett Island via the door and staircase next to the Ship Shop between 07:00 hours to 20:00 hours.
Please note this application is separate from the previous registration that some members completed in 2005. Access to the facilities will only be granted to those crew who are issued with an access card.
Upon completion of the registration form an access card will be prepared for your collection from the Club on/or before 20th December 2007. We will advise you individually when those cards are ready for collection. A letter of authorization must be given to the crew if you are unable to collect the card(s) in person.
There is no fee for this key card, and a maximum of 2 cards may be issued per boat owner. However, it will be your responsibility to return the card(s) to the Marine Office should there be a change of boat ownership or change of personnel. A fee of HK$ 100 will be levied for a replacement of a lost access card. At all times, the card will remain the property of the Club. The card is non-transferable, and the Club reserves the right to terminate access rights at any time. Please be assured that the information collected by the Club during the registration process will be treated with the strictest confidence, and is purely for our own internal use. Whilst on Club premises and using Club facilities the conduct of the crew (including any damage to Club property) will remain the responsibility of their employer.
For the enjoyment of our Members and their accompanied guests, from 1st January 2008 we shall strictly enforce the rule to not permit any salaried crew (i.e. non-members who are not accompanied by a member) to use our Members’ facilities. In the meantime, should you have any further queries regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact Joanne Ho on 2239 0309 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
